SSC MTS 2025 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & PST (Physical Standard Test)

Candidates applying for the Havaldar post in CBIC & CBN under SSC MTS 2025 must clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) in addition to Paper 1. These tests assess physical fitness and endurance to ensure candidates are capable of performing their job duties effectively.

SSC MTS 2025 PET (Physical Efficiency Test) Requirements

 The PET evaluates a candidate’s stamina through running and walking tasks.

  1. PET Standards for Male Candidates:

 Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes
 Cycling: 8 km in 30 minutes (if applicable for certain departments)

  1. PET Standards for Female Candidates:

 Walking: 1 km in 20 minutes
 Cycling: 3 km in 25 minutes (if applicable for certain departments)

Important Notes:

  • PET is qualifying in nature (does not carry marks but must be cleared).
  • Candidates who fail PET will be disqualified from the selection process.

SSC MTS 2025 PST (Physical Standard Test) Requirements

The PST assesses a candidate’s height and chest measurements.

  1. PST Standards for Male Candidates:

 Height: 157.5 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for certain categories)
 Chest: 76 cm (minimum) with 5 cm expansion

  1. PST Standards for Female Candidates:

 Height: 152 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm for certain categories)

 Relaxation in Height & Chest:
 Candidates from ST category, hilly regions, and certain tribal areas get relaxation in height and chest measurements as per government norms.

Important Guidelines for PET/PST

 Medical Fitness: Candidates must be in good health and free from any physical disability.
 Relaxation for Reserved Categories: Certain relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.
